Registration

  • For members of VVO and FRSO: via the responsible person of the club with OLCO-system. This person shall mail this to info@sylvester5.be.
  • For no VVO or FRSO members:
  • Registration before 04/12: possible for indiviual days
  • Registration after 04/12: only registration possible for WRE for the categories W/M21 (the places are limited)
  • Registration on place for the courses SD, LD and Children-O
  • The list of participants will be published on 12/12

Start

  • When making the starting lists, we will, as much as possible, take your personal reguest into account, except for WRE
  • The starting list will be available on each event place.
  • Control descriptions and back-up-labels for the day will be available on the event place.
  • Each competitor enters the starting zone, with clearly visible starting number, 2 minutes before the actual starting time. There will be no name nor number calling. On the sign, you can take your map and go. Each runner is responsible for the initialisation on his/her EMIT-badge
  • No change of starting time will be accepted.
  • Late starters can start immediately, however without change of starting time.

Finish

After having crossed the finish line, the race is finished
Each runner is reponsible for the stopping of his/her running time at the finish post as well as the reading-out of his/her badge at the CC and this prior to the closing of the controls

Results

The results will be published in the CC.
The official results will be published on the VVO- and Sylvester-website.

For the courses SD and LD there is only a day classification

Result processing

The overall result will be made using the Scottish system with the 4 best results.
In order to be included in the overall result, the competitor must be pre-registrated for at least 4 of the 5 days.

Price presentation

The proclamation of the results will take place on 30.12 at 03:00 p.m. on the place of the last race. A price is given to the first three competitors of each categorie in the overall classification.
The proclamation of the results for the WRE will take place on 27.12 at 02.00 p.m. just for those who are present.

There is no price giving for the courses SD, LD and children-O.

Jury and complaints

The names of the jury members will be proclaimed at the CC each day. These are the same for the 5 days: Ronny Timmers, Bart Willems and Frans Laenen.
Only written complaints can be handed in at the secretariat till 2 hours after the last start of the concerned race. For the event on day 5 it can only be done till 30 minutes after the final results are published.

General competition information

  • The IOF-rules for international events will be applied.
  • The EMIT-system will be used. There is a possibility to rent an EMIT-badge at the secretariat.
  • Closing of the controls: 2 hours after the last start. It is necessary to read out the E-card within those 2 hours in order to be taken up into the results. Later is not possible! Those runners will be noted as "did not finished".
  • Domestic animals are not allowed in the forest.
  • We ask you to take care of the environment and to assist in keeping the finish area free of litter.
  • All competitors are responsable for their own insurance cover.
  • The organiser accepts no responsibility nor third party liability. The same principle holds against the forestry authorities, the owners of the land and the municipal officials
